Oh, yeah, I'm not sure he has an actual legal right behind him (but I'm equally not sure about them having a right to sue him if he doesn't cease and desist). Happy to not be a lawyer here.

Yeah, same here. I just get annoyed by the whining done in open source when people aren't breaking any law or license. What are these licenses for then? It just seems like whining to me.
