IT is fun to watch but also it cracks me up when people license their software and others not breaking the license are criticized for NOT breaking the license.
This sounds like preferences, opinions, and egos to me. Matt wants WP Engine to contribute more... OK. I get that. But can he make them do it? Not really. So his idea is to criticize them. Seems foolish to me.

Oh, yeah, I'm not sure he has an actual legal right behind him (but I'm equally not sure about them having a right to sue him if he doesn't cease and desist). Happy to not be a lawyer here.

Yeah, same here. I just get annoyed by the whining done in open source when people aren't breaking any law or license. What are these licenses for then? It just seems like whining to me.
