That is the solution. There is no other. The only thing left would be the bandwidth issue, which could be a problem for some countries. But there are solutions with relays, but there is no centralization, there is no censorship. If one relay blocks you, you have others. Who is the CEO, the community.
Sorry, but Nostr is not privacy centric. While it is resilient against censorship, but even the gift wraps leak the destination of the message, ips, the volume of messages being received and where they are being stored.
