The pros far outweigh the cons. Making sure we still have a planet to live on for future generations and the sustainability of our species is more important than the oil industry's profits. The oil company executives and laughing and thanking you for helping them take in record profits every year, all while they don't have to pay you. Also, why are you guys on the far right so selfish? You clearly don't care what happens to our species or our planet once you guys die. So why don't you guys go ahead and die off already so we can try to save our planet while/if we still have time.

Exactly, I would have said the same thing.
Especially since, in reality, acting now is cheaper than acting urgently later. One example is solar energy, which pays for itself in less than 3 years. It's the cheapest form of energy on earth! It's free and unlimited.
Who doesn't want to reduce their bills except someone who profits directly from people paying too much (the fossil fuel industry)?
