Mhh, wondering if I should use a flea market to get rid of some stuff. It's next weekend and it's 27€ for a spot.
Would probably be a cool experience to try to sell stuff that I'd actually be happy to just get rid off.
Will tell you another story.... (@siggy47 will love to hear it).
In 2017 after the fork, I wanted to get rid of all my past relation with fiat and start a full cleanse: closing bank accounts, withdraw all the money from any account, pension funds, savings and buy more BTC.
Then I start selling anything that I do not need, for whatever price, I sold a car, a bike and all the crap I had in the garage.
My house was full of computers and parts and all kind of gadgets and crap that I didn't used anymore. So I sold them all, for sats, for fiat and then exchange all for more BTC.
You cannot imagine how many people are buying these crap old things. Just look at these listings.... https://satstash.io/
Make a good attractive price and never look back with nostalgia about those crap things. Don't be greedy, be happy when somebody will buy your crap.

I recently thought of doing the same thing. I wouldn't even call some of the stuff crap. I have a lot of great books, in good condition, that I have already read or just weren't to my taste. I have been thinking of setting up some kind of page to sell them for sats. I'm thinking of maybe trying Agora territory here. I haven't found time yet.

I would not sell all books. Some of them (even that you read it) could be left as a "legacy". ofc not all worth keeping them if you have too many.

I have A LOT of books! 😀

In this digitized era we are living, I am sure many of them you can still have them in digital format. But IMHO a 10% "buffer zone" I would keep in hard copy, selecting the most important ones (for you).
Like @0xbitcoiner said in our "survival game" discussion... a book with all the tips and tricks to survive in a fucked up world, is always good to have. A pdf or epub if you do not have batteries anymore, is totally useless.

Yes, physical books will always be valuable. I would only give up those that are no longer important to me. Many won't be leaving

I would like to see a web page or service where you give them the hard copy of the book and you get for free the digital format.

That's a good idea
What a great discussion! Ever since that day, I've made sure to have an axe and a book on hand, just in case the 'world ends'. 🤠
And as for my books, I could never sell them all. I'd definitely hold onto my favorites.

Have you thought about using Shopstr or the Agora Territory?

No, I haven't! I might give it a try. 👀

Thanks! ~AGORA is definitely an option too, and we need more inputs/feedback to improve! But nothing to compare with IRL experience of a flea market and try to orange pill some randomers!

Highly suggested! You definitely met plenty of people, some of them probably willing to buy nothing and have just conversation. It's good fun!
