Its funny how people across the pond are able to work 40 hours and actually survive.
Especially in some of the northern European countries.
Consumerism is a helluva drug.
Americans are wealthier and our stuff is cheaper, but we're addicted to consuming crap that's mostly bad for us.

Probably when the Boomers were kids. I think that's when a lot of unhealthy food-like products started entering our diets and needing to own all the latest stuff became a way of life.

Savings did briefly increase, but that's long since been spent and then massive credit card debt has been piled on top.
