The Average American’s Financial Portfolio by Account Type

People put the most money in employer retirement plans, which make up nearly two-fifths of the average financial portfolio. Bank accounts, which include checking, savings, and CDs, hold the second-largest percentage of people’s money.
Outside of employer retirement plans and bank accounts, the average American keeps nearly 40% of their money in accounts that advisors typically help manage. For instance, people also hold a large portion of their assets in investment accounts and IRAs.
People hold 4% of their money in crypto accounts on average, and nearly a quarter of people said they hold crypto assets like bitcoin. Source https://www.visualcapitalist.com/sp/mor01-the-average-americans-financial-portfolio-by-account-type/
Out of the 4% for 'Crypto' it would be nearly 2% for Bitcoin and 2% in shitcoins. What do you say?

This is about holding savings I think it about all the money. If it's all the money that I don't think anything is bigger than the real estate.

Employer retirement plans usually have very high fees.

Are people not aware about it? If it has high fees why don't they turn to other alternatives. Also l, do you think that the data as goven about crypto is correct?

Home or real estate is the biggest asset for most Americans
reply
Yea I was going to ask this, if we were to calculate a home as an asset, how much of this would be in proportion to the overall pie? My assumption is 30% home, 70% everything else
reply
Yes, they are but here we're actually talkin' where do Americans put their money!
reply
4% is still vry good. I don't know if India has that number.
