I've recently found P2Pcoins.io and took the time to test it out this platform designed to facilitate fast, reliable, and cost-effective peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions. There are just few offers and look's the adoption rate is relatively low despite the good desig and UX. That's why I was unable to complete a trade yet! Another think I'm missing is the ability to access via Tor!

I'm curious to know if you all see this as a potential alternative for Bisq or Robosats

Live website available from https://p2pcoins.io, it also has a testnet evironement https://testnet.p2pcoins.io/ docs https://medium.com/@p2pcoins.io

Hello, I am a co-founder of P2PCoins.io. We are happy to receive feedback and answer some questions.

  1. Testnet issue - sorry for that experience. It is not very stable mostly because of the issues with bitcoin testnet itself and also because we do not give it a priority right, you are the first user on testnet and it is possible that the service was down and we did not notice. That is on us.
  2. Creepy vibes - we want to do acomplete re-brand and make our cat more friendly :)
  3. Cookies - We have google analytics cookies, which you can block if you want and then cookies related to user like Session ID (necessary to log-in).
  4. Not able to make trade - I think you have chosen a non-available trader then. Since launch which was about a month ago (we are very new) trades in total of ~30k€ were done.
  5. Open source - this is planned.
  6. Application error: Feel free to share an error you were seeing.
  7. We DO NOT offer any coins and do not plan to. We believe in BTC but we also think XMR has it's place, at least now. We will likely drop the ETH implementation.

replying anon doesn't help. Anyone could have given these answers... better you create an account if you want to be reliable. SN does pretty good on privacy.

Where do you find all these crap pages that are not loading? https://m.stacker.news/50216

Anyways, I consider all these "coins" exchanges a WASTE OF TIME. Who got some shitcoins in the past THEY MUST EAT THEIR OWN SHIT. Nobody will give them precious sats for those shitcoins!

This must a warning to all noobs: think twice when you want to start buying a shitcoin. NOBODY will give you sats for that crap.

reply

Damn man, which browsers are you using!

There's lot of crap online, Just looking for new things coming up... I assume my screaming process need to be refined then!

ATM they use only BTC, so that's why I decided to give it a chance. They should definitely not waste time building on XRM or ETH. Anyhow, apart this https://github.com/p2pcoins wasn't unable to find the code repository, another red flag.

reply

no worry... I do not blame you for their shit. You just wanted to share something and I only pointed what I see.

There's lot of crap online

Yes indeed and we are not aware about it until somebody came and share it :) But don't worry.... Darth is watching.

which browsers are you using!

Start here:

This site gives off creepy vibes. Lots of cookies for functionality.

reply

Lot's of cookies? I see none... I guess am using the wrong tools to inspect

reply

It's maybe just a default alert form MUi framework they are using... I detect zero cookies in use

reply

Maybe. I rarely get that warning on sites I visit.

reply

maybe you have some auto-accept cookies by default! Nowadays most of the sites have these warnings! my practice is to avoid cookies at any cost! That's why no alerts were triggered on the browsers am using, either they announce GoogleAnal and reCAPTCHA on their privacy policy https://p2pcoins.io/en/docs/privacy-policy

reply

I run vanadium on graphene. I'll check my settings.

Hustle isn't spending his morning looking at an Eth x Monero exchange.

reply

it's bitcoin only atm... prejudices make wo/men blind

reply

Is Ethereum support on the roadmap?

reply

Maybe, for me matters only the fact that they support BTC. All the rest is noise...

reply

Using "bitcoin only" tech with your bitcoin is probably the way to go.

But to each their own,

reply

Atm this is a bitcoin-only tech... as the others aren't implemented yet. Isn't Bisq enabling BSQ token trades too? for this reason should be not bitcoin-only?

Isn't Robosat allowing Monero payments too? for this reason then is not bitcoin-only?

Aren't both enabling fiat payments too?

Tell me what do you mean by bitcoin-only, and then we talk ;) because somehow, you'll be always be exchanging it for something else, whatever it would be!

reply

True, you got me there.

reply

When I see shitcoins, I need to say NO 🤷‍♂️.

reply

"Isn't Robosat allowing Monero payments too? for this reason then is not bitcoin-only?" Robosats native currency is Bitcoin (LN), no ETH or other shitcoin. If you want to buy shitcoin on Robosats, it's your choice...

"Isn't Bisq enabling BSQ token trades too?" The same category, shitcoin no thx.

reply
If you want to buy shitcoin on Robosats, it's your choice...

Same applies on P2Pcoins too then...

reply

No, native currency are not only bitcoin (LN) but also shitcoins (in the future).

reply

I feel sorry for your limited vision

Ok need to check out

how am making your nym sound ridiculous?

reply

That should be fine now! I got your point from the comments you made above. The site just doesn't have anything interesting. In fact it does ask for unnecessary cookies.
