Dwitter is a site where people are limited to 140 characters in which to write a javascript program to produce something cool. There are some fantastic graphics being produced here, and as has been noted before, limitations often lead to some incredibly creativity. As someone with minimal javascript skills, it's also a nifty way to learn more outside of a traditional tutorial.

I applied to YC with a similar idea in ~2018. I wanted to do twitter but for generic code golf - any language and purpose. This is nice because it's more targeted.

Totally agree that this is another neat way to learn. But please don’t apply this sort of practice in a professional setting. Coding something intentionally under 140 characters almost always means unreadable, and therefore not maintainable.

No worries there -- I'll never be good enough at coding to do it for money. I just like being able to read it.

This is very cool stuff. I like JavaScript which is why it is a fit for me. Everything feels natural this way. Twitter for semi-nerds.
