Nice! I definitely want to get a dog when I'm done with my travels. It can be hard here in Arizona as it is so hot that I have seen people put shoes on their dog to walk them haha
Shoes are great for every weather for dogs, but it's the matter of training the dog to become used to walking in them or they might hurt themselves.
If it's your first dog, I recommend adopting from a foster animal shelter. Best luck to you ! :)
