Indian Hindus and Muslims See Neighbors

During the **survey carried out in early 2024, fewer than half of Indians had good things to say about neighboring countries Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. While only 11 percent of Hindu Indians viewed Pakistan positively, this was up to 22 percent among Muslim Indians. Muslim-majority nation Bangladesh was a little more popular among the two groups, at 34 percent and 39 percent, respectively, expressing favorability. Sri Lanka scored highest among Hindu Indians - at a still modest 44 percent - while Muslim Indians saw the country less favorably, with just 29 percent expressing this sentiment.
This is in stark contrast to the opinions about India among Bangladeshis and Sri Lankans. Between 54 percent and 82 percent saw India positively as of the latest survey. Here, differences between Muslims and Hindus were more pronounced, with 54-64 percent of Muslims and 80+ percent of Hindus saying they liked India. More than half of Sri Lankan Muslims said they had a favorable view of Pakistan, while this was echoed among fewer Bangaldeshi Muslims at 39 percent - lower than Pakistan's perception scores among Hindus from the two above nations.

I believe that there should be no surprise to these statistics as none of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh has shown the same growth and improvements in living standards as India. India is currently the 5th largest economy while Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are considered relatively poor. How can you expect Indians to talk favourably about some country that's facing civil unrest, as seen in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka recently and who doesn't know that Pakistan has long been the home for terrorists and radical Islamic organisations!
Let's stop discriminating each other using religion and national identity.

Yes, you are right. All are neighbour have not being doing anything good except spreading to much corruption. Is this data is true I don't appose it

We all are human beings so please don't look at Hindus and Muslims from different perspectives.

In the end it all is optics. Would love a future of loving your neighbor despite differences in religion, race, etc.

This is very interesting take on the unreal statistics. I say it because look how low is the sample size! Only 7.5k people! This number don't justify what results we get for more than 2 billion people.
