With this year's winter going to be much cooler, this is going to be huge dent on EU economy. Or, maybe Europeans can bear extended winters!

With the huge increase in the amount of LNG worldwide being deployed and Germany in particular having the facilities now to get LNG via ships I wonder how the prices might be this time around. In 2022 they just didn't have the facilities and 2023 was a milder winter if I remember correctly so if the winder is worse Germany has had a ton of time to prepare.
Also, I was reading yesterday that Norway is looking into ramping up their oil and nat gas resource extractions again which would be super beneficial to the EU as well.

At the time they couldnt but now they have the facilities to be able to accept more gas than they could via pipelines and it was cheaper for a while since the Russians had comp. Currently, I am not sure but given how there is competition with the US, Russia, the UAE, and Qatar it should drive the price down.

Then, they will be cursing Russia or Ukraine or their own EU?
Maybe the battle of reversing hot CPI data is just beginning!
