I've routinely done $4000+ transactions to Bull Bitcoin (Canada). I also recently sold ~$1500 worth of sats over Lightning at an OTC brokerage in Hong Kong. It's really underrated how reliable the Lightning Network has become.
And imagine what we can do once all these channels go up 10x in dollar capacity during the coming bull market!

I’ve never had an issue. People say it is only for smaller amounts. I haven’t done millions worth, and I don’t know what a large amount is. Through all my transactions with people every day, my first question when it is time to pay is always, do you accept Lightning payments. I hope my whole community will someday.
reply
I've done $0 so far. Looking forward to make it $-1 to $-2 very soon!

Have you withdrawn sats from SN?

500k sats. Oops! Missed it. It says in dollar terms..

Used my sats to pay for my insurance bill before. And of course, gift cards from Bitrefill and The Bitcoin Company

Circular payments count? A rebalance for example :)

I thought about the same thing, what about me sending 500$ to myself

I've done my first transaction yesterday and it was for 10 dollar voucher.

The largest I've been able to do was 1.6M Satoshis so it was $700 or so USD at the time. I wish it was larger, but ultimately on chain is fine for those amounts. Capacity discussions are of great importance in my opinion if we want to see broader adoption.
