Well, it definitely reads like a compliment and its a compliment. I really enjoyed your article. I think it's a masterpiece of contemporary literature.
I think you should be ashamed and regretful of holding prejudices and biases against someone about whom you know nothing. However, please take it lightly. Calling someone a nutcase or a shitbag for no reason (even for reasons) may be inbuilt in your culture and values.
