He was born in 1953 so he can personally recall every president race since 1968 perhaps earlier. He compares Harris to the Democrat candidate in 1972 and 1980 and 1988. The similarities are valid. Except those candidates were more articulate and competent than Harris

I remember the 1988 race. I remember the Willie Horton commercial. Lee Atwater was the campaign manager. By August 1, Dukakis had 17 point lead in the polls which I was skeptical of. By Labor Day that lead had vanished. That should have been my first hint that polls are inaccurate.
Bush won 1988 decisively.
