It may be true or may not be. I don't think that this is more than a conspiracy theory. China has got the facilities and right before and after the Bejing Olympics people have become more inclined towards sports. In India, it's just a lack of infrastructure and love for Cricket that's not letting Athletes prepare for Olympics.

No, if it's a coincidence, it must run down through the list. India is fifth largest so it should be there but it nowhere to be seen in the top 50s even.

Ok, I understand! I think that happens because it's not about how much population you have, but about how much quality population you are able to find, train and prepare for the occasion. And obviously that is due to the level of investment that each country makes in its sports area. And on the other hand, the gringos have always aimed to be number 1 in the world in everything. And CHINA, if it wants to be the next dominant empire, must compete with the USA in all possible aspects until the dragon 🐉 manages to surpass the eagle 🦅
