I dearly hope so, for the mini-Michael Saylor in me wants to go absolutely bonkers and smash the risk-o-meter!

Very interesting. Just remember that the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.

Im hoping that I can one day lend a part of my stack, but I'm not dirty of lending myself to increase the former either, although increasing it without the risk of losing the bet sure seems more comfortable. 😜

Interesting.
But will you have to give them your private key?

Multi-sig?
That is almost as good as giving your private keys away.

Maybe we'll see unchained loans return to retail, or at least better rates on commercial loans.

Absolutely, but the way I see it, the above bank would be the "zero-to-one" moment, and what follows after, well, you know. 😜
Sooner or later, it'll come.

No, now, they all will come up with such plans like loans, reserves, guarantee of freedom etc. etc.
These are interesting times. We must safeguard our stack from these imposters in Banks and politics!

This is just another way for the banks to get your bitcoin if you arent careful.
Do you think they are there to help you?

They're there to make profit off of it, just as I'd like to profit off of their service; after all, that's what exchanges do, too.
Although you have to be careful, both can benefit you.

There might come a time when they return your bitcoin in fiat instead of the bitcoin that you put in.
Like for like, as they say.

Well...you have heard the stories of comex.
How many times have they given fiat even though the person wants the metal delivered?
They arent storing much. Its probably an empty vault.

Cantor Fitzgerald caters to the big boys. This loan thing is likely to have enormous minimums. Out of my league, so I stick to 18 month 0% loans from my credit cards to finance my mini Saylor dreams.
