Both parties are morally bankrupt but the nonsense around Jan 6 is pretty absurd and instructive.
Rep. Massie questions the FBI director about the claim Biden makes about gallows being constructed to hang VP Pence.
You can say Trump is a liar. That's true, but you lose a ton of credibility when you lie over and over again. They do not care and if you are listening solely to either of these parties you are being deceived.
There was no insurrection. There was a protest that has been amplified for political gain. These Trump supporters foolishly played their role and many have paid for it dearly.
Don't be a pawn. They hate you. They are not your friend. Neither side.

Honestly, I don't usually even bother with the J6 stuff but this one was just to good to not chronicle.
Honestly, it still blows my mind how seldom opponents of Trump can tell the truth. They almost always lie and exaggerate. My theory is that they just know most people are dumb enough to fall for it because they are saying what they want to hear. Its the same for Trump. He exaggerates constantly and his followers lap it up.
These people get what they deserve in my book. If you are a fool you will be fooled.

That’s a good point. However, I think more Trump supporters understand that he exaggerates than those who still watch the corporate press realize that they’re being lied to.

Also in my experience most Trump supporters aren't the comic characters they are portrayed as by the media. They are fed up with progressiveness and Trump seems like he's against that. Or he's an alternative voice. Or that he produced results where those that went before didn't.
I've found most have many things they dislike about him. They aren't stupid. Its also clear that Trump's enemies are being honest or fair in their criticism. This makes Trump a victim. Leads to sympathy in spite of his flaws. Because his opponents are exposed as frauds they lose all credibility.
I also have interacted with some Trump cult members. These people are unhinged and it has nothing to do with Trump. He's just appealing to them because he's unique in his opposition.
The bell curve meme is pretty accurate when it comes to Trump and people I know. The midwit republicans and independents tend to not support Trump.

The truth is, the corporate press and the establishment have no one to blame but themselves. When they were up against the internet full of people fact checking them and a political figure with no shame, they could not help themselves. They doubled down on lying and deceit. The system is full of leaches that will lie and cheat to keep their status. They do no realize that it is all being exposed. Those that have the most trust in the state will suffer the most going forward.

I'm curious how it's all staying propped up. Corporate media doesn't seem to have a sufficiently large audience to support its bloat. Many of the popular independents have much larger audiences, but have to make do with much smaller budgets.
