Has your health improved substantially since you got into bitcoin? Transparently speaking, mine is somewhat plateaued since I got into it.
I know many Bitcoiners have talked about grass-fed beef, ball tanning, steak/eggs every morning, and lifting weights. For me, I never was motivated by that.
What motivates me now is that I want to try to live the longest and most energetic life I can, and this won't happen if I continue the same passive activities I have been doing.
Things I am doing differently now: I don't drink more than 5 beers a week, I run about 20 miles a week, lifting for 30 min a day, only eat out once a week, and focus on rest without my cellphone. Honestly, I want to try to make these improvements because over the years I have struggled with fast food, and the dopamine addiction of the cellphone at night. While I know how Bitcoin culture has improved the health of many, this is still an area I need improvement on!
Ball tanning? lol I just put on a suit today, I cant believe how much weight I have gained lately. I need to start being active again. Time to play ultimate frisbee.

The way I look at it, is the activity needs to be fun for many to stay physically active. The fun activities I do is pickleball and tennis.
While I am a runner, and do lift weights - spending a long time in the gym can feel boring - and there is no competition!

The competition is with yourself. But I know what you mean, when it gets boring its hard to keep grinding.

My health is the best it's ever been, now in my 40s. And there was a big shift in my lifestyle around the time I came to Bitcoin. It does all seem connected some how. That is around the same time I got serious about my healing journey and started working with plant medicines. I am not like many Bitcoiners though. I am not sure why people think eating dead heavy animal flesh is the way. Maybe if you want to get "buff" I guess. I am about longevity, flexibility, efficiency and feeling light. So I more into yoga, moving rocks, and eating fruit. Best I have ever felt. Amazing. Thanks for the post.

Of course! I think there is a correlation as you start to come into money honestly. I used to never go to whole foods/trader joes, & I used to only shop at Kroger/Walmart. The healthy food selection is incredible with Whole Foods/Trader, even though it is 25-50% more effective. Bitcoin has given me the ability to not worry about a dollar or two difference in prices - especially as it comes to health.
After this Bitcoin conference I will go back to Yoga! Something I need more in my life.

It's funny because for me it has kind of gone the other way. I used to be pretty successful with a business and I ate better quality food. Now I live near a small town and the only real store is a Walmart. So this is the first time I have shopped there regularly. And I have a lot less money than I used to. Bitcoin has helped me feel more abundant and like I have a plan for the future. But it also has me living more simply. I want to spend as little as possible. Interesting all the different ways it can go.
