Yeah I’ve heard many people say that about AOC.
The progressive left have a weird Marxist thing going on. I’ve seen it in my own family for example my parents who used to describe themselves as ‘socialists’ which they used to see as different from communism - they have recently started reading a communist magazine .
Make of that what you will but I find it really disconcerting.

You can see this by the disdain they have for a segment of working class people, which used to be the average "worker" that communists claimed they fought for and represented. Blue collar working folks. Even unionized folks.
For many socialists and commies being churned out of college, their idea of the working class is... themselves and their 18-25yo coworkers working to pay their student loans at Starbucks in a major city.
Some of these people believe they don't need farmers, because they can just get food at the grocery store, so fuck em and their demands.
