That's true, but it also doesn't mean they stopped being cheapskates.

I'm missing your point, I think. How do cheapskates and an $844,600 ticket go together?

I'm wondering how many of those attendees will actually be bitcoiners vs run of the mill Trump supporters who show up just for Trump.
I'm suggesting actual bitcoiners are likely unwilling to part with almost a whole coin for this. (@orthwyrm indicates that it's about $60k per person #613762.)

Ah, actual bitcoiners. How do you define this? To me actual bitcoiners will have nothing to do with this. In that case, are we not saying the same thing?

I'm a big tent guy, so we might not be defining it the same way. My guess is that these will mostly be rich MAGA donor types who at most hold some bitcoin on an exchange.

Sounds like your big tent does not include MAGA donors who hold on exchanges? Are the Winklevos bros in the tent?
reply
Are the Winklevi going to be there? I don't follow them, but I'm pretty sure they make the cut.
Are you expecting attendees who are more known for their ties to bitcoin or more known for their ties to Trump?
I'm not drawing a line in the sand. I'm just stating an expectation that these will be people who are relatively loosely committed to bitcoin compared to the general conference attendees.

I don't know if they will be here, but I know they are publicly announcing donations to Sen. Warren's competition. I think we are saying the same thing, basically. The big donors will not mostly be bitcoiners.
What I'm saying is the number of bitcoiners getting publicly political is rising. Not that they are most of bitcoiners.
