I was curious if anybody had something so core to them, that they knew they would never want to give that up. It is part of your core identity and who you are.
I don't have too many things that I would never give up in the physical world. Still, one thing I never want to give up is my ability to be excellent in my work, keep getting marginally better in my long-distance running, and studying how to optimize my financial life(bitcoin).
What are things (physical or non-physical) that you would never see yourself giving up?
I've so many things! But the most I don't wanna give up is my land in my village.
reply
Do you live there, or do you rent it out? Is it a farming village?
reply
I live in a nearby town. But I visit the village almost everyday. No renting out.

Coffee. I have a love hate relationship with it.

I thought I'd have a hard time with coffee - and I haven't been trying to give it up - , but about 6 months into carnivore, I just lost the taste for it. I don't mind drinking it nowadays - I do, occasionally, diluted with a lot of cream - but I don't make it regularly, and don't seek it out.
reply
Same - If you try to quit just remember you will have a very painful headache for about a week.
reply
oh man, this is very true. I have been trying to get my coffee intake down.
reply
Don't cold turkey, do 50% less each day, taper off if you try. If not it is a slow descent.
reply
Yes, I have been slowly taking coffee away. Or putting more water in my coffee.
