He has had a huge impact during this UEFA Euro cup. He has shown incredible skills for a 17 year old boy at the top level. Playing against top teams without noticing his age.
He has also performed well at his team though it has not been a good year for Barcelona.
UEFA is talking about him and all the records he is breaking.
I know it’s early but, would it be possible for him to be at the same level than Cristiano, Messi, Pelé or Maradona?
Still early to tell but how many 16-17 years old you have seen playing in world or euro cup? He does have a talent for sure let's see if he has brains to stay away from drugs and hookers along the way...lol

You’re right. Also we may need to consider injuries. Can not remember a long lasting injury in Messi or Cristiano’s career. Regarding drugs , I can only think of what Maradona could’ve done if he had not used them.

He’s surely got the skills but it all comes down to application and will.. Many talented players emerged as future Ballon D’Or contenders but disappeared after a couple of seasons. Messi & Cristiano are prime examples of talent + application to stay at the top for so long.

I am sure about it. It’s important also family and friends. What it strikes me is how he manages at press conferences and dealing with journalists at his age. Quite sensible boy!

That too. The company around him also makes huge difference.

It is too early to think, you have the talent and that is undeniable, so you have the opportunities and the options, but it is still too early to reach strong conclusions. For now I think that he is being overrated for being Messi's protégé and everything that this circle that revolves around Messi implies, and that obviously stays away from football issues. If he has the right mentors, he continues to develop his stride - I think he could!

Incredible experiences at his age !

He can. But will he?
reply
That’s the question… it’s a long time since I’ve seen such an impact from a young boy. Spain, with the help of Nico, has completely changed the way how they play.

They get so rich, so fast, it is difficult for many to maintain hunger and discipline

I’d say it’s almost impossible for a player to replicate Messi’s success and greatness. He was winning everything at a club level from 18.
In young Yamal, the Stockport Seedort Kobbie Mainoo is going to run the show at 19 on Sunday.

This is another one. Do you think he will play from the beginning?

He was MOTM in the semi-final, so he’s nailed on to start bar an injury.

Definitely an Interesting match to watch with plenty of young talented players!

Still long way to go for him. He needs to show his experience in clubs too in coming time.

We will see in coming years. Messi impacted first in Barcelona. Definitely he will need to step up at his club.

Remember the first time seeing Messi play?
For me it was 2006 World Cup in Germany. I said this young backup is better than everyone else , he should play more lol

I would lie if I said that I remembered the date, though I remember how young he was when started at Barcelona. Pretty much the same age as Lamine. It was incredible how easy he scored at that time, his speed, everything…

I think, it will be all 'Saka saka' after the match!
reply
Yes, that is a possibility too. Still young and playing really well.
