Hi All - By profession, I work in procure to pay for large companies around the world. I work across several large ERP systems such as D365, Oracle, Coupa, Maximo, SAP & more. One thing I have noticed, is none of these platforms make it easy to integrate with Bitcoin or the lightning network.
For example, I can easily choose between over 150 fiat currencies with ease in Oracle/SAP's Financial module, but when it comes to Bitcoin none of these ERP platforms support this.
Have any efforts been made to speak to the head of product at a lot of these larger ERP platforms? The global ERP market cap is well over $300 billion and from my rough numbers trillions of USD are running through these platforms every year.
Oftentimes, multinational countries need to transact with different countries and suppliers with ease. What are all the ERP platforms that enable Bitcoin and Lightning (plug and play)? Do you think we will start to see more support with these ERPs to allow for Bitcoin rails in the coming years? I think it would be good for bitcoiners to attend the biggest ERP conferences - as these are often rails where small, medium, and large caps transact in all sorts of currencies. Some of them are as follows (https://www.oracle.com/cloudworld/, https://www.coupainspire.com/, and https://www.sap.com/events.html) .
Shoutout to @DarthCoin for sharing the BTCPay Server Plugin for the ERP platform Odoo - https://www.odoo.com/
I would love to hear everyone's thoughts as it comes to Enterprise Resource Planning software & Bitcoin Lightning Payments!

You might want to read about Fortris, a Spanish company that develops ERP extensions to handle Bitcoin treasuries, accounting, payrolls, etc.

This was the first ERP I used! They were bought by oracle about a decade ago. That thing sucked - as did JDE!

These systems are so clunky and rigid
I forget why ERP is necessary... for accounting and inventory reconciliation?
