Hey All I was curious about what projects you find the most impactful on Geyserfund. Most of the projects on the site are a net benefit for Bitcoin, but I was curious what many on SN are supporting/thinking of supporting based on what they are set out to do.
My favorite project is Mi Primer Bitcoin and I try to support this one as much as I can. Still, I also like ones that focus on films/documentaries as media is a huge avenue people take to learning about finance, economics, and bitcoin. A well-made Netflix/Amazon documentary on Bitcoin could help millions see things they may not have seen otherwise.
What are your favorite projects, and how do you think they will change the world for the better?
Initiatives focused on increasing Bitcoin adoption, particularly in underserved or developing regions. This could involve projects related to remittances, financial inclusion, or integrating Bitcoin into existing payment systems
reply
Well said, I really want my future to be focused on financial inclusion and there are many projects thinking of this at the forefront.

There was (or still is) a project making point of sale devices. I thought this is something that we could really use more building out the parallel economy.
reply
In a scaleable way as well! Alot of these devices are a bit niche right now.

But also, this is more of a DIY solution. I can't see this being used for everyday businesses. Maybe it can, but would need a more fluid interface or a design that works with their fiat system as well.

Yeah, I bought this a while back. I hate to say that I haven't set it up yet...
reply
Consider this a little nudge to set it up ;)
I think most of the ones that are being sold are based on these DIY tutorials by Ben. I'd probably enjoy building one of these with my son once he's a little bit older.

My favorite projects are those like Mi Primer Bitcoin and documentary initiatives because they educate and empower people about Bitcoin's potential, fostering broader understanding and adoption globally.

I love the open source nature of mi primer bitcoin, as well as the fact they are translating it to almost all languages around the world.

Very beautiful thing

I agree, but I'm not sure we have a story that would capture the attention of an audience of millions yet. I got my dad to watch The Magic Pill a few years ago and he finally understood macros/low carb.

"Dirty Coin" is this exactly, I saw it at a premiere in Miami a few weeks ago and they will be showing it at the Nashville conference. It is excellent and will definitely open a lot of people's minds

I haven't seen this yet, i'll put it on my list!

Yes, I also think that more correct, precise and complete information that we can share, as well as videos or documentaries, would help a lot to open people's eyes and understanding so that they can see Cryptoeconomics from the right side... and also include this knowledge In your daily life it would benefit you a lot... I am new to the world of Bitcoin but in the future my plan is to continue strengthening my knowledge in sales... and also continue stacking sats which is without a doubt my long-term asset💪
