@DarthCoin's posts are doing a very good job as far as educating noobs is concerned. I love to read them! They are like gems in a vast ocean! The pinpoint precision about Bitcoin is quite obvious in his posts.
There is a setting you can enable to hide your wallet balance, FYI :)
