this is the situation on the us labormarket now: monthly drastic downward revisions that no one will remember, while the state massively increases its workforce before the election, to light a few more smokescreens. a catastrophe, an economic disaster!

If you ever want to get depressed check out the salaries for california state government jobs on http://www.transparentcalifornia.com
Do a search and you will find pages of "public defender"s making $400-500k, "nurse"s making >$500k, "ultrasonographer"s making $350k
Zero fiscal responsibility spending other people's money. Everyone due a pension.

I live here so it hurts to know how recklessly they squander our tax dollars. Public has no idea how much is being wasted... paying tech CEO salaries for every nurse manager etc...
Highest state income tax, highest gas, highest rent prices, PG&E prices higher than anywhere else in the country...
Great weather tho ☀️

That is a depressing but informative site
Transparent California is depressing because it is informative

I second that notion! :-)

The job market in the United States is quite dynamic and competitive, but I had no idea that the government was one of the largest employers, both in terms of number of employees and overall expenditure. Do you know of any websites where I can see how the number of government workers has changed over time?

How can they include government jobs in the statistics? Government jobs can be manipulated at will by the state to make things look better than they actually are. They can create 800K jobs if they wanted to.
reply
for example, this is now a case of manipulation of statistics by government agencies. but they can't expand the state sector forever, because they are also bringing the private sector to its knees. productivity will collapse and at some point the state budget will collapse. this is only done to buy the election.

If we think about it and analyze these numbers... we would say that it is still within the parameters that were already planned... also taking into account that a large number of these new jobs generated must include the migratory movement and that these people obtained a job...
reply
Most are part-time jobs and gov nonsens. These are really terrible numbers
reply
The problem with government jobs increasing is that most of these jobs are worthless or are redundant. They are just putting more strain on the governments budget.
reply
I think US will give more jobs before elections but it will lead to excess of debt and ultimately shrinking of economy.
