Thanks to technology, I don't have to hunt for food to survive every day. I could just sit at home, order food and watch TV all day. Thanks to technology, I never have to be bored and let my mind wander. Thanks to technology, we can comfortably get depressed doing nothing.

The context was taking notes though. I was expecting @plebpoet to take notes with pen and paper but she mentioned that it's faster and more convenient with a computer. Then I said "technology makes us do less" which started the conversation.
