Every time I go to Sedona I sit on top of one of my favorite red mountains and I just sit in silence and calm. I feel the vastness of the sky, the wildlife, and the slight breeze.
Hiking does some amazing things, and one is able to connect with his/her self to explore the meaning of life.
Yes, you're right about hiking. Where I went in the Himalyas was close to a glacier which is sitting nearly 6000m elevation. I could sense everything there- the vastness of sky, the Flora and fauna down under, the meadows, a lowly chirping from a far and a sweet cool breeze (it was -5° there).
