if it is a challenge for institutions, they are doing that trick: "if you cannot defeat your enemy, join them". I think Bitcoin is transitioning to a phase of normalization. It certainly has less cyberpunk taste than in the beginnings. They must be sure they control most of it with all KYC requirements and control of the transactions. Once that is fully secured, it can go to the next phase of becoming the official world reserve asset. That's my 2 cents. or should I say 2 sats.
Idk. You may be correct about Bitcoin entering a new zone!
However when I look around me, I find no people advocating a normalcy of Bitcoin. I'm from India and government is doing everything to kill the notion of Bitcoin..
