I was just trying to figure out the philosophy of Bitcoin and found this article super easy to digest as a beginner.
At its core, Bitcoin is nothing but code..... Yet, outside of its technical features, Bitcoin can also be viewed as a social movement
It has become both a staging ground for debate around the cultural role of money and a disruptive technology intended to intervene on our existing power structures and monetary system.
At conclusion the article declares that Bitcoin communities unite around the populist sentiment that is characterised by a distrust in institutions and surveillant business models. Bitcoin’s ideology poses a challenge to the alliance between the state, central banks and private financial institutions that form the basis of our modern capitalist system.
Kindly add if you find anything missing or misleading. I am also a beginner and willing to learn. I'm starting with Philosophy because this interests me more than maths and code.
Thanks!!
Sats for all!!
Bitcoin is just code, that's clear, but it's very powerful code with a specific purpose.
Returning sovereignty to the individual.

Thanks! Sovereignty is my goal too.

if it is a challenge for institutions, they are doing that trick: "if you cannot defeat your enemy, join them". I think Bitcoin is transitioning to a phase of normalization. It certainly has less cyberpunk taste than in the beginnings. They must be sure they control most of it with all KYC requirements and control of the transactions. Once that is fully secured, it can go to the next phase of becoming the official world reserve asset. That's my 2 cents. or should I say 2 sats.

Idk. You may be correct about Bitcoin entering a new zone!
However when I look around me, I find no people advocating a normalcy of Bitcoin. I'm from India and government is doing everything to kill the notion of Bitcoin..
