I’ve been using a vpn for our return trip to China (or nothing works!) I just tried to use SN without the vpn and was surprised to see that it worked!
I guess it’s still pretty early and a relatively small platform.
its probably just a matter of time before it gets on their radar.

Yeah, not big enough yet. Or they have bigger issues to deal with

When they learn about the bitcoin application of this site, they will block it.
reply
Yup, probably thanks to this post!! 😂

lol

Its only a matter of time. Im sure they have tons of child laborers checking the websites used by their data.
reply
Haha that was probably the old method.
No chance to start an uprising now that AI is sentiment analyzing every packet sent. Scary.
reply
You dont think it is still the method?
reply
Haha can't tell if serious but no that would not be as efficient as modern AI...
reply
I dont know if AI is advanced enough for this yet. Maybe it is?

Literally a perfect use case for LLMs
You saying we're having CCP approved discussions? Lol come on guys do better
reply
Not at all
I was just surprised it worked without the vpn as pretty much anything can be posted here.

Is there a way to make it so China can't ban a website? Can China technically ban NOSTR? If they couldn't ban nostr, I wonder if there is a way to make it so they can participate in SN without visiting the website?
reply
The way to do that would be to work and comply with everything the CCP asks.
For nostr I tried Primal and snort which also not blocked

China is becoming a non-earth country with all the blocking they have been doing. I just don't understand why people accept everything there??
reply
They grow up with it. Fall in line, don’t speak out etc
They have their own versions of google, facebook, Reddit and YouTube so people are generally ok with the bans.
reply
Duh. @k00b is a psyop. People have been warning us the whole time.
On a serious note, where are all the Chinese stackers, then?
reply
IDK. I guess they haven’t discovered it yet.
