Russia is working flat out on the new world order: In the wake of U.S. sanctions over the Ukraine conflict and Venezuela's oil industry, Russia and Venezuela have strengthened their partnership. At the recent BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting in Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil formalized their cooperation to counter unilateral sanctions.

It's interesting that we talk about each of these countries as being economic basket cases, but then it's supposed to be really concerning that they're teaming up.
BRICS is a really interesting challenge to dollar hegemony, but as an economic union it's nonsense on stilts.

That is the thing that would make me spectacularly wrong, but for the time being we still have the freer economies and we've been seeing in China how hard it is for the rulers to give up control to markets.
OPEC didn't overtake the west and I doubt the situation will be different with BRICS. I'm always bearish on centralized government projects and so far that's served me pretty well.

Since I can remember, my Country Venezuela has always made alliances with many countries, especially with powers like Russia and China.
