Except for my native language, I also speak English, Greek, and Italian. I also have some basic knowledge of French.
I wanted (and still do) to learn French and Spanish so badly, but never found the time and motivation to learn them systematically.
Probably French as I have French family and my father and brother speak it really well. It’s embarrassing to me that I never properly studied it outside of school.

I adore French language and French culture in general.

It is Spanish, my fiance speaks it, my favorite places in the world (Mexico & Costa Rica) speak it, and I just keep on making excuses not to learn it. I need to practice it more, and sometimes she doesn't have the patience with my poor speaking abilities lol.
reply
You have huge motivation to learn it. 😂
reply
I have the opposite problem. I took the time out to go for Italian and Thai classes. However, I recall almost nothing of what I have learnt haha
reply
Maybe you need some practice.
reply
Spanish. But I will, some day.
reply
Me too!

I wanted to learn Spanish because of my love to Spanish songs. I still listen to Juanes and Ricky Martin more than my native singers. But, as it is, I never had time and motivation to learn it ..

I'm learning Portuguese. I'm a Spanish native speaker and I also speak English.
I noticed many Stackers interested in learning Spanish, if you are able to speak a little bit and want to have a conversation session with me we can organize it (35.000 SATs/ hr 1 student or 55.000 SATs/ hr 2 students)

Russian and Arabic
reply
I don't like any of them.
reply
Spanish. There's so many Spanish people, I think they're the second most spoken demographic behind English.
reply
Agreed!

It is French.
reply
Arabic. I have always been enamored with their culture.

wow it's admirable that you can speak 3 or more languages... my native language is Spanish and the truth is I do well in English but I have never mastered it. I was always attracted to Portuguese and Italian, but I have only studied very little, I only know a few words
reply
What is your native language?
Because of your knowledge of Italian you can learn French and Spanish relatively quickly

It's funny that you mention that, these days I was just thinking about learning a new language and I want to learn Russian. I believe I have some ease with languages and I read somewhere that if you know already another one besides your native, it's easier to learn a third.
But Russia feels so far away and there are several native tribes not far from where I live and they still speak their language, but very few "whites" speak it. There's a lot of hippie-like tree-hugging people around here that pretend to follow their teachings and their way of life, but almost none bother to learn the language, which I believe is the first step to really get close to them.
Finding material to learn those languages is hard, but I'll let you guys know if ever start that journey.
