I doubt it. Kyrie had a bad game and the Mavs shots weren't falling. Numerous wide open 3s missed.
I don't think Celtics looked that good either. They were settling for too many jump shots (especially Tatum) and not driving to the basket enough. Also, there were quite a lot of good cutting opportunities for the Celtics to make a cut and get an easy basket. But of course, the guys just stand back, ball watching, and they end up settling for a jump shot.
Porzingis was very effective though. He was really good on the defensive end, disrupting lops and blocking shots. I believe he had 3 blocks in the first quarter? He was also very effective in scoring.
Celtics seems to be still them old selves, who would live by the 3 and die by the 3. They would destroy the opponent if their 3s are falling, but would not change their game plan when their 3s aren't falling.
Hoping to see the Mavs bounce back in game 2 and have a closer game, regardless if they win or lose.
I feel like these Celtics might be different. They've pulled out quite a few close games in these playoffs, where they might have choked in previous years.
That said everyone but Luka played poorly for the Mavs and all of the Celtics were awesome. That should even out.
