Curious that Ron Wyden introduced the bill in Senate.. has anybody looked into his reasoning?

They have new x-ray machines now that can better visualize what's in your bag. IIUC they use some kind of round, volumetric, scanning technology, which is why these new machines are big cylinders.

It's really sad seeing how the US government is transforming this country and the Western world in a surveillance state, attacking people's basic freedoms and rights. Meanwhile corrupt money flows to their elites fueling wars all around the globe.
