News Of The Week

Welcome to this week’s issue of the Books And Articles newsletter. Thanks for all of the quality posts. There is no territory specific news to talk about today. As always, please reply to this post with suggestions and opinions on how to make this territory better.
I hope everyone has a good week.

Top Five Posts Of The Week

The top post of the week will be forwarded 50% of the zaps earned on this week’s newsletter post. Rankings will be determined using the SN zaprank.
Here are this week’s top posts:

Siggy’s Suggestions

@BitcoinAbhi’s post discussed motivation and discipline, which was just what I needed to read this morning when preparing this newsletter. The post sparked some good discussion with valuable replies. Although directed at bitcoiners, the points apply more generally to those trying to get things done.
Picking out this week’s most popular chapter is really my way of encouraging everyone to read @cleophas’ current book, “The Final Product”, which I believe is the most popular original work we have ever had posted to this territory. Enjoy!
This week’s Golden Oldie:
This is an interesting poll post about sex and declining birth rates. I think this is the first poll post I have ever featured, and that’s because there is a link to a prior discussion on population decline and an outside article. The topic spurred both funny and serious discussion, and I think it’s worth your time to read it.

Wow! It didn't even cross my mind that I might have the top post this week.
It's so endearing that stackers responded positively to my daughter's adorable bad dream.

I think it really resonated with many of us.

Amazing as always!
@Undisciplined has been so creative and professional while narrating that real life experience, I couldn't help to suggest him collect all of such stories and publish them into a book. So, pure and so emotional!
@BitcoinAbhi's article is also an exceptional piece here which deals with the 'aspects of human psychology' and its complex results oft times. You're right that this post derived some really serious discussions and I would love to have these kinda posts more on this territory.
A moment of self praise, I wanted to write a post for ~charts but as I couldn't find it and went with posting it here. I didn't realise initially that my post would get this much attention. Thanks everyone who just liked it. Thanks @siggy!!

Thank you. Fortunately for me, I have a daughter who generates an inexhaustible supply of cute anecdotes.

The story is indeed heart touching. Thanks @Undisciplined for sharing it! I too have a daughter and I can say our kids are the real reflection of our childhood. If we can somehow connect their creativity with ours, nothing is more valuable than that in the world. Love for your daughter!
The poem from @plebpoet also touched my heart.
Also, the topic that @BitcoinAbhi chose to write about can relate to everyone. The comments below the article are also noteworthy.
Thanks for the newsletter. It's amazing how you describe about them.

Great lineup as always, and love the Golden Oldie -- the poll seems almost secondary to the discussion itself, which is really good stuff.

I agree. I didn't notice it was a poll at first!

Great spread of reads from various Stackers. This territory is developing a vibe of its own xP

Thank you so much for taking my post to this level. I enjoy reading posts from everyone here in this territory and just thought of writing on the subject of 'Motivation for Succes' and now I think I'm slowly getting into the groove here. I've been a motivational speaker here in my country and I my audience is mostly Hindi listening people. I want to write a lot here but sometimes I feel that writing for English native people shouldn't get boring considering I'm not that sound with English slangs, idioms and proverbs.
But, now with the recognition I'm getting here, I'm kind of motivated to write more. Thank you everyone. I must admit SN is the best community and for me ~booksAndarticles is a great territory. All the posts from all my fellow stackers are very inspiring and thoughtful.
Thanks @siggy47 and thank you to every stacker who took time to read my post.

I don't recall seeing some sections of this newsletter before, always innovating and improving the experience. Great job, keep it up.

Wow thanks for this! So much great looking content to sift through. That’s my Saturday afternoon sorted then! 😎

Wonderful gems in here. Thank you for summing up and promoting me to revisit some.

Thank you for contributing. I caught a typo on your Kerouac book review listing. Double @@ prevented a tag last week, I think.

No worries and good if it gets a few more sats for Anita
