I honestly have never seen this comparison before it is rather fascinating!
The unit value of gold is going to crater as we get closer to realizing asteroid mining.
reply
Will astroids have gold in them? It will be hit or miss if they have gold, I think.
reply
Many do have large concentrations of gold and other precious metals. Those will be the first ones targeted for mining operations.

We have to be able to go up to space and stay up there for prolonged periods of time.
reply
No, it's going to be robots. Sending humans into space is not even remotely economical.
reply
You still have to have a person up there to do the maintenance and control the robots.
reply
I don't think that's the plan. It's too long of a voyage for a person. They need it to be fully automated.
reply
Interesting. I dont think it can be done without a human up there.

No you don't. You can have other robots do it. All controlled by someone in orbit around the asteroid
reply
Have you ever done maintenance before? Do you know how hard it is to instruct someone else on how to fix something? Let alone a robot you have to control?
I think it will be more than that. Gold still has that "mobility" issue. Once people wake up it will be crazy, and yes, that's hopium speaking as well. The fact still remains BTC is the best asset known to man. (so far)

Did you come up with this?
