In no way am I gonna every be fluent, but I have begun to point out things around me and go "oh I know that in Spanish."
I learned French as a kid for ~10 years so there's a good amount of overlap in how sentences are structured and even some common words. Probably helps me somewhat.
I stopped because I felt like I wasn't progressing much beyond what I learned in high school eons ago. I should probably try again given most of my patients speak spanish and our ipad translators are terrible.
Even if you don't learn new stuff, it's good to keep a decent vocabulary! Ive begun throwing French in as a change of pace if I need a Spanish break. It's been enjoyable to relearn some basics.

Hace un tiempo creé un territorio para hispanohablantes con el ánimo de incentivar las publicaciones en español, pero lamentablemente no tuvo mucha acogida. Ojalá se reactive en algún momento.
eso fue un buen intento, pero no creo que es la solución. Escribir en un rincón alienado no ayuda. Escribir en cualquier territorio es mucho mejor
Lo ideal sería que SN integrara un sistema de traducción automática como en Nostr. Así las personas pueden escribir en su propio idioma y los demás pueden entender.

Intenté en su momento hacer posts en español pero somos realmente muy pocos los que hablamos en este foro en español, así que la mayor parte del tiempo lo hago en la lengua oficial del grupo.
Hay que escribir en español, así que damos la oportunidad a otros de hacer un esfuerzo y comprender lo de que escribimos/hablamos. A malas siempre hay traductores automáticos
