Always Be Closing
It is hard to not succumb to the sales pitch of the Dallas Mavericks when they are featuring two generational closers like Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. I feel I underestimated them but now I am most definitely buying what they are selling. Especially after I had a post yesterday marveling at how entire games, series, and seasons can come down to one play.
I am not sure what the TWolves can do aside from having a massive lead going into the final two minutes of play. Not that it likely matters much now as no team has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit and aside from both Kyrie and Luka going down, I am not sure there is any hope of that changing. Looks like a Celtics vs Mavs final. I think the Celtics are the better team but give me four games where the Mavs keep it close heading into the final minutes and I will take Luka and Kyrie over the two Jays 4 out of 4 times.
This NBA playoffs has shown how important elite shot making is to the current game. Especially in the playoffs when games are generally very close in the final minutes.
Unlike the NBA, the NHL is featuring a couple finals that look like they could go the distance. Heck of a game yesterday between the Rangers and Panthers with the Rangers pulling it out in OT. Between the east and west finals there have been 5 games played so far and 3 of them went to OT.
Week 8 (time flies) recap for the MLB Survivor Pool coming up shortly from @MLBofficialscorer.
Sats for all, GR
I do feel like this could be the year that we see the 0-3 comeback, not that I'm expecting it. Dallas' injuries are mounting and the Wolves could easily be up 3-0 in this series, if just a few things had gone differently..
reply
Seems highly unlikely that unless Luka or Kyrie or both get hurt that Twolves will be able to stop them from making magical shot to end the game four times. I do think the Wolves might win the next game or two.

Luka's one KAT knee to the face from being knocked out of the series.
reply
Apparently, KAT takes 1500 shots a day. Probably knee shots on the sand bag instead basketball shots seeing how accurate his shots were on Lively's head and balls.
reply
Damn KAT is taking a beating on SN lately.

When you're 7 feet tall, shooting 0 for 6 on 3s on a must win playoff game, and you still shoot 2 more to make it 0 for 8, you know a beating is coming on all online platforms that even pay any remote attention to the NBA. Maybe, just maybe, trying a layup is a good idea?

Maybe, just maybe, trying a layup is a good idea?
Especially when you already did the hard work of clumsily knocking out the other team’s rim-protector.
Did you guys see Pritchard get kicked in the face?
What’s going on in these series?
reply
Yeah that was quite the shot. His eye was already swelling up.
reply
Kids got art class, on chauffeur duty and can't catch the game. It's over for the Pacers anyways.
What’s going on in these series?
NBA turning into MMA because the losing side knows it's over. Might as well get some shots in just to feel good.
reply
Are you ready for Olympic Nembhard?
I don’t think it was intentional
Just imagine if one of the dirty players were still in it.
Draymond would be punching everyone in the balls.
I didn’t even see what happened until the second replay.
reply
Are you advocating for that or just suggesting shit happens? Haha
reply
Don't do it KAT. ;)
reply
Damn you are really out for blood here to lock up this 1k sat bet. You are hiring KAT to take out a hit on Luka.
reply
Who said anything about hiring?
I don't want to get Stacker_Sports in trouble. Let's just say 500 sats may or may not find their way into what may or may not be KAT's wallet, should something happen to Luka.
reply
Haha.
Undisciplined to KAT:
"500 Sats KAT"
Nothing beats playoff hockey
