I get it. My observation was more along the lines that Africa has land in both the Eastern and Western half of the Northern hemisphere, but only occupies land in Eastern half of the Southern hemisphere. But your initial observation that Africa occupies territory in all 4 hemispheres is spot on.

A hemisphere is half a sphere. SW hemisphere does not exist.

There are two lines that create the 4 hemispheres:

- The Equator Line (in red).
  - Everything **SOUTH** of the equator line is in the **Southern** Hemisphere.
  - Everything **NORTH** of the equator line is in the **Northern** Hemisphere.
- The Prime Meridian, a.k.a. the Greenwich Meridian (in blue)
  - Everything **EAST** of the PM is in the **Eastern Hemisphere**
  - Everything **WEST** of the PM is in the **Western Hemisphere**
