Ok - I did indeed write this...not sure how I got logged out or how I fix it? I suppose I probably can't at this point?

Do you recall what happened to get you logged out? Did you have to log back in?
@ek @orthwyrm reported something similar. Any ideas how this might happen?

But anon is determined server side so this would mean the cookie becomes unset somehow.

Not 100% sure - I cleared my browser data - but was logged in? this must have done something and I just didn't notice :)

If you clear your cookies which can be included in your browser data it will log you out
