Thanks Mom
Let's face it, moms are the MVP of the family.
I think anyone who grew up playing sports is indebted to their mom for the sacrifice it requires both financially and time wise to keep a kid in competitive sports and activities. We tend to take these things for granted until we are older and have kids of our own.
So today's post is just a shout out to all the moms out there that help their kids succeed on and off the field. I am forever grateful for everything my mom has done for me. Thanks mom.
Hope all the moms in your life have a wonderful day.

That's exactly how it was for me. My dad worked, and my mom handled EVERYTHING else.

My dad coached me but my mom would have everything prepared. Pre or post game meals, Make sure my uniform was clean and ready. Make sure I had everything I needed in the car, so my dad could get home from work grab a quick snack and go.

My mom never missed a single sports event. She even threatened to quit jobs over it.

Wow, Hawks got the first pick.

Woah! #1 pick with a measly 3% chance of winning. Dejounte Murray going back to the Spurs?
reply
I actually think Trey would be a better partner for Wemby, but he's definitely not a Pop guy.

Spurs want their guys to be coachable, play defense, and buy into their system. Not sure if Trae would fit those. He is a great play maker and has great offense, but is a defensive liability. Also not too sure about Trae on the coachable and buy in part...
Murray was drafted by the Spurs and played 5 years with them. Might fit in better.
reply
I'm thinking Trae's bad defense doesn't matter much when Wemby's behind him to clean everything up and Trae's the better lob thrower.
I agree, though, culturally Trae's pretty much the opposite of a Spur.

That was one of the craziest shots I've ever seen. Murray's a legend.
reply
He has a knack for those.
I think I need to rename everyone on the Wolves not named Ant Man the invisible men.
I didn’t even realize that was today.
Do you think they’ll take another point guard?
reply
Not sure but thought it was notable that they won with such long odds. Knicks have nothing today.
reply
It looks like the teams that were tanking didn't do great.
Maybe Adam Silver got sick of everyone's bullshit and wants to stop rewarding embarrassing nonsense.
reply
Raps lost their pick. Oh well. Not supposed to be the best draft class anyways.

That’s the spirit

Looking forward to this Nuggets/TWolves game tonight.
Respect.

Yeah, Mom's are the best. Running joke, if you ever become famous or appear on TV, you have to say “Hi mom,” or else you're not going to get a birthday/Christmas gift later. You can, however, forget your dad.

My mom not only took care of me, but she taught me and my brother how to take care of ourselves. She taught us to cook and clean. Although my wife takes care of all the cooking and cleaning in my household now, but I'm still able to step in and take over when she goes on vacation.

I remember being in my late teens and my parents would be out of town and I would call my mom. I am making this for dinner, what do I do? or I am doing the laundry, what detergent do I use and how much? Do I separate the whites and colours? I can't find xyz, where is it? She should have lost it on me because she had probably gone over all this 5 times with me but of course she didn't and talked me through the stuff I wasn't sure how to do.

Your mom is very patient, kudos to her. My mom would probably have told me to figure it out and hung up on me. But then again, she makes me and my brothers do house chores and help with cooking since 9 years old, so we never really needed her help when she was away when we were older.
