The first time I ever purchased Bitcoin, I was scammed.
This is the story of all people that jump into "buying" stuff just because somebody else say so and they do not do any effort in reading and learning first, just blindly follow a scammer.
Education is the first step into Bitcoin and NOT buying it (and mostly as "investment").
Learning curve is more important than getting rich curve...
Depends on your learning style I think, I found it much easier to learn about Bitcoin principles by actually buying a small amount and playing around with it. Without having "skin in the game" I don't think I would have understood what all the fuss was about. Might just be me though...
I joined the bitcoin party after watching the movie Dope in 2017. I didn’t understand the ending because I didn’t understand bitcoin at the time. I was intrigued so I went to study. I watched the price cross over 2k in May 2017 and dove in. I bought my first sats on eBay using PayPal. The people would make you wait forever for your coin because they were getting scammed by buyers reversing the PayPal charge after receiving the bitcoin. I rooted for the small-blockers and have kept stacking the whole time.
