I know Egypt wasn't letting them in, but Israel apologists were saying that Israel's border blockades didn't matter because there's also an Egypt border and Egypt could let aid through or people out at anytime.
The counterargument to the argument that Israel is maintaining Palestine as an open-air prison or concentration camp was that there's also an independent border with Egypt. Now there is no border access to Egypt.
The interesting thing about the open air prison thing is that it's partially true. There are many people living in extreme poverty in the Strip, but there are also many people living lifestyles beyond your wildest wet dreams. Gaza is one of the best pieces of real estate in the world. Let that sink in. The question isn't is there suffering, it's who is causing it?

In a situation that bad, there's plenty of blame to spread around.
Bibi intentionally propped up Hamas because it's politically valuable for him. Hamas intentionally puts civilians in harms way because it helps their recruiting. Both sides intentionally lie about everything when it's expedient. America's given Israel unconditional support and paid off the Arab states to stay out of it.
I'm sure there's plenty more that I missed.
