What kinds of things can a person be frugal on?

Well, I think it depends on what you consider as essential.
Personally, I think it's about spending less on frivulous things. Maybe I'd consider getting something cheaper or perhaps focus on repairing things that I have instead of throwing them away, that kind of stuff.

I have a set of things that I would consider frivolous, but those things might not be the same for you.

I mean how can we create a shared definition of frivolous. It feels different from frugal. Distinct ideas. Just exploring meaning.

Medium. There are things that I want that I know are luxuries but I'm saving up for them instead of being financially irresponsible.
I don't know. I've always thought of Low Time Preference as being frugal on everything. I'm not at that point, yet.
