I was just about to ask. It looks like you could have gotten a tackle, if you had kept the pick.
What do you think of Raiders 3rd rounder?
reply
Not sure yet. We’re having a hell of a time trying to get our kid to go to sleep tonight.
It looks like the right kind of player, but I need to look into it more.

Kingsley is enticing but I think he was too much of a project for them. If Rosengarten was available they might not have traded back but Ravens took him.

Looks like you got someone for the O-Line.

Of course the 49ers traded two 5th round picks to get an additional 4th round pick and pick a running back they don't need. And then take another slot receiver later in the round. Kyle is going to Kyle.

He's trying to test whether you actually can have too many weapons.
Raiders took the most athletic corner in the draft. Al Davis would be proud. You can;t teach speed. If only we were still allowed to douse our guys in stick 'em. I like the LB in the 5th, too.

Yes other than Brock Bowers I think the Raiders have had a good draft.

I'll never think Bowers was the right pick, but I'm coming around on the theory behind taking him. We'll see if Getsy has enough creativity to deploy him the way Shanahan would. They're talking about splitting him out wide, lining him up at FB, etc.

If he is a top 5 TE for the next 5 years then it was a great pick.

Not if Meyer is also a top 10 TE and Fuaga is a top 5-10 tackle. There's just not enough marginal value in upgrading on a good young TE compared to signing a great rookie tackle when you don't have one yet.
49ers going after guys who are versatile, have a ton of college games under their belt and stayed healthy. They have a type. Haha
