I always liked this song. I think I'm too young to be an old guy though! I like the Buckaroos' version of it quite a bit too, although I wish it was the full thing.

I wasn't feeling this cover on first listen, but now it's growing on me.

I'm glad it's growing on you! It is definitely a different take on it. They're actually a country band if you can believe that! They were the backing group for Buck Owens, creator of the Bakersfield sound in country music. His backing band would record albums on the side, and sometimes they would have a more experimental sound.

Interesting! Buck Owens. I'm not a modern country fan, but I do love the old greats- Hank, Merle Haggard, Waylon, etc.

You might be interested to know that Merle played bass with them for a while, and came up with the band's name!
I'm not a big fan of the modern country sound either, but there are some modern artists doing more of a classic sound or a genre cross that I like. I'm definitely a fan of a lot of the older music though, Merle is great!

I guess I misspoke. I do like modern country and bluegrass too, just not what I consider bad country! For instance, I like Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle a lot.

Ah, okay! Both of those artists are pretty good! Although I'm not normally a big bluegrass fan I'll have to check them out.
