No one writes songs like that anymore. Guys don't sit around in the studio or rehearsal space and just jam on stuff and try different things. It's all overproduced now. Here is the song, you have your part come in and record it and get out. 

Back then guys were just jamming all day, shootin the shit, having fun. I think the fond memories of those great times probably has to do with smiles as well.  

If I had a sat for every time I was in a bar when someone plays this tune on a jukebox and the place goes crazy.
