I thought, you were asking for what game they get eliminated?
I'm confused ๐Ÿค” or you?
You are picking them to win the cup, right? I didn't think anyone would do that. So, in that case, state that you pick them to win, then pick the game, then pick total goals.
reply
I pick them to win for sure, my total goals would be 5.
But how can I conclude the game? Doesn't NHL have a final like we have in Cricket league. Can you please suggest me a rule book for NHL?
reply
I don't know of a specific rule book, but here's how the playoffs work: There are four rounds. Each round is "best of seven." That means whichever team wins four games wins that series. So, you might say " Leafs win the cup in 6 games." Or 5,4,or 7. I hope this explains it.
reply
Round 3, gane 6, total goals 7.
Is that okay ๐Ÿ†— now?
reply
If you think the Leaf's will win the cup, it has to be in round four, game 4 or later.
reply
Round 5 game 4, 7 goals.
reply
Ok, the final round is the fourth round. Are you picking the Leaf's to win? If yes, then by picking in 4 games you are saying they will win four straight games and "sweep" the other team. It doesn't happen too often, but it's possible.
reply
I say they are winning it in the 7th game.
I must accept, it's really difficult to catch on these metrics used in US. Why so many rounds with matches. Why can't they keep it simple?
In Cricket, we also have groups, divisions etc. etc.
But we always use one format for playoffs, that is a knockout stageโ€”
8 teams qualify for quarterfinals, the losing side is knocked out and winning sudes qualify for the semi finals.
Then, 4 teams play in semi finals, again losing teams knock out and two winning teams qualify for the finals.
The winner of the final takes the cup.
